News Feed Dashboard Configuration

The News Feed Dashboard provides a streamlined configuration panel at the top of the page that controls global settings for all analysis features. These settings affect how articles are loaded, which AI model performs analysis, and what organizational context shapes the results.

The collapsible Configuration panel contains four primary controls that shape your intelligence gathering:

Date Range

Select the time window for article collection:

Last 24 Hours	Breaking news and immediate developments
Last 72 Hours	Recent news cycle coverage
Last 7 Days	Weekly intelligence scan (default)
Last 30 Days	Monthly trend analysis
Custom Date	Select a specific date via calendar picker

The date range display shows the active timeframe and total article count matching your criteria.

Topics

Multi-select dropdown for choosing intelligence categories to monitor. Options include threat intelligence categories, industry sectors, or custom keyword groups configured for your instance.

• Select All: Monitor all available topics

• Clear All: Reset topic selection

• Topic count badge shows number of active selections

Model

Choose the AI model for analysis tasks:

Profile

Select an organizational profile to contextualize analysis:

• General Analysis: Default, industry-agnostic analysis

• Custom Profiles: Organization-specific contexts with tailored priorities, risk tolerance, and stakeholder focus

Profile Actions:

• Click the gear icon to open the Profile Manager and create/edit profiles

• Click the star icon to save current settings (date range, topics, model, profile) as your default configuration

• Check your date range (expand to last 7 days)

• Verify at least one topic is selected

• Click "Refresh" or "Load Articles"

• Check internet connection

"Results aren't relevant"

• Article Investigator: Apply more specific topic filters

• Narrative Explorer: Narrow to 3-5 focused topics

• Six Articles: Switch to a more specific persona (CISO vs CEO)

"It's taking too long"
